About this event:
Campaign in a Day is an exciting opportunity hosted by AMA Charleston for College of Charleston Students. This competition, open to both Undergraduate and Graduate students, aims to provide real-world experience by developing a campaign for a local non-profit organization. This immersive event encourages collaboration between students, industry professionals, and non-profits, offering invaluable hands-on learning.
How It Works:
1. Four teams (depending on student participation numbers) of marketing students from College of Charleston.
2. Each team will be paired with a marketing agency for guidance. (Thank you to our partners at TBD. TBD. TBD. TBD. (We are looking for sponsors for breakfast and coffee as well as mid day snack. We could have 2 sponsors split the $500 prize money for the winning team. Ellen VP of Sponsorship
3. A non-profit organization will present a real-world marketing challenge. (Discussed with Skyler and Elena that we would have up to 4 non profit and all teams would be assigned a non profit to work on. Ideally we will hope to have a good selection of non profits to choose from. Non Profit selection will take place by Nov 5, 2026
4. Teams will brainstorm and develop strategic solutions with the support of their assigned agency. (We need 4 representatives from Marketing Agencies/Industry as mentors and then as judges)
5. Each team will then present their campaign to the non-profit and marketing mentors/judges by the end of the day (itinerary of day will be provided in January 2027 as details are finalized.). Winners will be announced at the Spark Awards tentatively scheduled for March 10, 2027.
