Charleston AMA’s inaugural Campaign in a Day is almost here. This immersive experience brings together students and local marketing professionals to create real-world campaigns for nonprofits—all within one day.

Teams will spend 12 hours developing comprehensive marketing deliverables tailored to the specific needs of local 501(c)(3) organizations, ranging from branding and social media strategies to promotional materials.

Students from the winning team will receive a $250 cash prize split equally among team members. Winners will be announced at the Charleston AMA Spark Awards x American Advertising Awards 2026 in March.

Call for Participants

Nonprofits
Organizations serving Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties are invited to apply. Applicants must provide 501(c)(3) documentation and a clear description of the marketing deliverable they seek.

Marketing Firms
Local agencies are encouraged to volunteer their expertise. Participating firms will have the opportunity to scout local talent, network with peers, and receive an in-kind donation acknowledgement for their time.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Do I need to be a member of the Charleston AMA or the College of Charleston AMA to participate?

No. Charleston AMA or CofC AMA membership is not required. Eligible students must be enrolled in an accredited higher institution located in the Tri-County area (Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties). 

2. Are there any associated fees? 

No – It is FREE to sign up and volunteer. We’re grateful for your time and involvement!

3. Do I need to attend both the kick-off event and Campaign in a Day to participate?

You must attend for a majority of the day for Campaign in a Day (5 hours or more). The kick-off event is highly encouraged, as this is when the team and non-profit selections are both announced. Preference in selection for Campaign in a Day will be given to students who can attend both events.

4. Will catering be provided?

Yes – breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies, in the form below.
