The Charleston American Marketing Association is launching a new project to connect our members with deserving nonprofits who can use short term marketing assistance. The Charleston AMA represents the Lowcountry’s most talented marketing and design professionals and we recognize that there are many local nonprofit organizations, working hard to make life better for Lowcountry residents who could use our help.
Nonprofit organizations requiring design assistance may submit requests for CAMA board approval.
Marketing companies and individual marketers can volunteer their expertise with a commitment of 5–10 hours per project or month. Pro bono marketing initiatives created in the Adopt-A-Non program are eligible for submission to the annual Spark! Giving Award.
Criteria for nonprofit requests:
Organization must be located in Charleston, Berkley, Dorchester, or Colleton Counties.
Organization must serve Charleston or Berkley County
Organization must be registered as a 5013C
Project assistance is available for a one-time, short-term campaign.

Requests for assistance may be submitted to Maggie@charlestonama.org.
We’re proud to support the mission of One80 Place, a nonprofit that provides food, shelter, and encouragement to individuals and families in need throughout the community. We do this by collecting food, toiletries, and bed sheets through drives; accepting cash donations that go directly to One80 Place; and organizing lunch shifts where members of AMA Charleston can serve and at the same time get to know one another.
College of Charleston
We’re also proud to have strong ties to the newly formed collegiate chapter of The American Marketing Association at the College of Charleston. Great things are in the works for this partnership, and we plan to foster the next generation of marketing professionals as they discover and develop their skills and take their first steps into the job market.
